This is my story...
For the last (gulp) 63 years I have been writing. After having my first thing published in Wee Wisdom Magazine for kids in 1962, (at the age of 10), I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. My Name in Print!
But I did do other things. I switched from journalism in college to engineering, then eventually went into sales in the publishing industry where I spent the next 25 years or so. I continued to write, starting with newspaper editorials, opinion columns, sales pieces, magazine articles for many national and region publications. I was contracted to write four children’s books which sold millions of copies in 4 or 5 formats.
After being an editor/front page reporter for six years, I started my own publishing company where I wrote another 22 books and published 52 books for other authors. Since then, I have co-authored and ghost written even more. I wrote and hosted my own TV program for 2+ years, and a local magazine for 2 years. I have written lots of business articles, press releases, web content, screen plays, plays and basically, if can be written, I have done it.
In all this time, and the older I get, I realize that so many stories are being forgotten, lost or just not written. And the reason is because people just don’t know where to start. The hardest part of writing is, well, writing. Sitting in a room and actually putting words on paper, or in the computer, journal, recorder….you get it.
Another Writing Course? Ugg...
Over my lifetime of writing, I can tell you that I have taken many, many writing classes. From fiction workshops, to news content, TV programs, screenplays, business writing, and basics like grammar, punctuation and dialog.
I have signed up for on-line classes, and unfortunately, I just couldn’t get through them. They were boring, not applicable, or too cumbersome. I have always worked full time. The classes I’ve taken just took too many of my extra hours.
The benefit of “Let’s-Write” is that you don’t have to do the same thing I did, course after course where you are lucky if you can get one or two nuggets of inspiration. In this class, we will write together. Hopefully this will be the last writing course you take!
Each lesson, which is mailed to your home every two weeks, will bring you 6-8 pages of class notes, lessons, homework and a few more tidbits that will help you get creative. You will have access to download a 15-20 minute lesson overview (hosted by yours truly).
We cover things like organizing your thoughts, outlining your story, writing a variety of things in different ways, fiction, non-fiction, children’s story writing, short story writing, blogs, journaling, novel structure, character development, and so much more. Get the picture? We cover it all.

Twice a month, on the first and the 15th, we will be mailing your lessons to your home. Each will contain 6-8 pages of instruction, ideas and even "homework" so you can practice what you learn. All our lessons have been taught to students already and we continue to teach every month.
Every student begins at Lesson 1, regardless of when you begin.
The lessons come with a short overview video of what is in your content that you can view on our website in a secured site.
Once each month we will have a live Zoom call for anyone interested in joining our discussions.
We have also set up a "members only" Facebook page where you can share your thoughts, ideas and even post your writing.
